New Side Quest unlocked: Befriend the Hut!
WHO: Soo Won, Sunny, and anyone who wants to join in
WHAT: Attempting to befriend the walking huts
WHERE: The village
WHEN: Before the Crossing
WARNINGS none at the moment, will add content warnings as needed
[Soo Won kept himself busy with various preparations for the next crossing. One of those goals involved the curious huts that walked on their own. If they could be trained then they could have mobile shelters during the crossing, which would decrease the risk of injury significantly. As long as they didn't turn on them but he could worry about making a contingency plan for that dangerous possibility after he figured out if they could train the huts to follow them.
Soo Won raised Gulfan, his precious falcon, with Hak and he had experience with horses but sentient houses were new to him. That's why he asked Sunny to help him with the huts. He was a bright, and imaginative lad but Soo Won had a secret motive for asking him to help as well. He knew Sunny was worried about his plan to cross without the Ferryman's protection. He couldn't tell him not to worry, and he knew how frustrating simply waiting for others to return can be, so he gave Sunny a way he could help make the journey a bit safer. Hopefully that knowledge would give him some comfort when the crossing came.
While he waited for Sunny he carefully approached one of the huts and gently placed a hand on building. He felt a protective presence as the door opened.]
Oh? Are you inviting me in?

In fact, they could just as easily have been something he encountered in his dreams. (Why? If Sunny could dream up a desert full of sentient food, a house certainly was an easier reach.)
There was a proper procedure (at least according to Sunny) for this sort of thing, so he attempts to tap Soo Won lightly on the arm - or where he could reach, the merchant really was tall! - before he could enter the hut.]

[The teen nods solemnly, after his own glance at the outer part of the hut was complete. Did Soo Won remember what Sunny had said was used to mark the huts…?]

[He must have missed that conversation. He glanced around the hut for anything that stood out while he waited for Sunny's explanation.]

Maybe he had forgot to tell Soo Won? He knew he let someone know. Maybe it was the skeleton?
Sunny nods, then sets about with the most physical activity that he might have shown around the other: the teen glances nearby, walks over to a cluster of long-stranded grasses, plucks one, and… ties that to the porch.]

[Seemingly satisfied, the grass tied like a small flag to the hut, he nods.
Now they can enter!]
