Therapy Session Take #1

WHO: Mari and you (OTA, characters are free to interact with others as well)
WHAT: Mari is hosting a therapy session! Come if you would like, or if you want to argue against it feel free to show up as well! This is more informal than it seems although she did invite some guest speakers.
WHERE: One of the large buildings that was most likely a common area for everyone, or just a super large bedroom.
WHEN: After First Crossing

A message goes out on the server from Mari: Sorry for the delay everyone! I thought it best to wait a bit till after the meeting Kel thoughtfully put together for all of us! If you would like to come for the Therapy Session, please come to building X. If you would like to bring anyone or anything along please do! Special guest speakers/appearances include Makoto Naegi, Daniil Dankovsky, and Soo Won.

Mari put her tablet down and went back to straightening the chairs she was able to gather in a circle. Surely this would be welcoming? This way they could all see each other and seek comfort if needed... but just in case, she had set up private areas using curtains as a makeshift divider in case others felt the need for a one on one talk...

It still felt strange to her to not have refreshments so she had cups filled with water just in case, surely even if they didn't need to drink it still helped to make the session feel welcoming?

As people filtered in she would call out a greeting. "Welcome and thank you for coming! If you feel comfortable taking a seat please do so! There are also refreshments over there."

"He is!" Nagito enthuses, looking thrilled just at the reminder alone. "I've never gotten to see him talk about something like this in person before! Of course, a screen hardly dims his hope, but I can't help but be excited! Make sure you pay really close attention to what he says, okay?"

[Sunny’s answering nod was almost enthusiastic, that extra energy from excitement placed into the motion.

Where other people might have gotten tired of Nagito’s enthusing statements towards Makoto, Sunny found it refreshing. It meant that he never had to worry about running out of something to talk with the other about. Even if it was just focused on Makoto… Sunny didn’t mind. Makoto was kind and brave and selfless. A lot of the things that Sunny found lacking in himself.

So, it was only natural that people would be excited to hear him speak. It was his ‘hope’ - as Nagito put it.]

Will…! Taking… notes… [That much was true. These notes would be shared with everyone (because Sunny’s notebook didn’t really have a ‘privacy’ setting), so no one would be able to forget what was said here.]

[Is it unethical to take notes at a therapy session when you aren't a therapist? Possibly, but Nagito doesn't care about that. To the contrary, his eyes light up even more.] Make sure you take a lot of notes when Naegi-sama talks, okay? I'd love to review them later! It's too bad we don't have any video cameras here, or at least a real cell phone, but I'm sure you'll do a good job!

[Probably unethical. Sunny doesn’t seem to think about it too hard either - Mari hadn’t really set up HIPA forms for people to sign for privacy either not like the ones he had years ago.

Instead, Nagito’s praise and excitement have Sunny even more determined to write down what Makoto says Sorry Makoto.]

Lots… of notes…! [The teen agrees with a nod. Nagito’s words have another plot bunny forming in Sunny’s head Why did it have to be a bunny? Wait, focus!… maybe the Ferryman would be able to find a recording device! It would be too late for this meeting, but if Makoto was as great a speaker as Nagito said, then everyone would want to hear him speak all the time! Which meant more speeches!]

[Is this the kind of situation where you'd pat somebody on the head? Maybe Sunny is a little old for that, though, plus he's pretty jumpy. Anyway, nobody would want that kind of thing from Nagito. He lets the thought pass without acting on it.] I'm going to ask Ferryman-san for a notebook later, I think. I might copy down your notes on Naegi-sama's speech later, for personal reference.

[Sunny wouldn’t disagree with that. It would probably be better to have all of Makoto’s advice in one place - that’s what he assumed by Nagito copying his notes.

Sunny just hoped his note-taking was good enough for that.

Just barely stopping the small note of panic that ran through him, he whispered.]

Hope… Book…

[Maybe a title? Who knew.]

I don't think I have the right to make something with such an illustrious title. [Nagito laughs, embarrassed, though he's also very pleased with the idea of a hope book.] Surely that would be a memoir of Naegi-sama's many accomplishments. Or maybe a biography?

[Sunny frowned slightly - Nagito was knowledgable on Hope, so he didn’t see why the other couldn’t write a book on the subject.

…Though maybe that wasn’t the point.

If someone had asked Sunny to write a guide, for example, on daydreams, he wouldn’t be able to. Even with his personal experience, it just wouldn’t work.]

Biography. [He agreed with a nod. Sunny would read a book like that.]

A biography about Naegi-sama... [He's clearly imagining it in an attempt to be able to read this theoretical book immediately.] It would be a bestseller. Do you think he'd sign it? Ah, he probably would, he's really too nice...

[Not that Sunny wanted to put words in Makoto’s mouth but… the other was kind and selfless. He could see Makoto bashfully signing a biography. Probably.]

T-thank… you… [Those were the appropriate words to say when receiving a gift, and even if that gift was hypothetical, he still wanted Nagito to know how much that meant to him.]
