Still, he's definitely not getting involved in stuff he'd rather avoid if possible. Romance is weird, Kel's experiences with him taught him 'no thanks' and this wasn't even something that directly involved him. And, who knows, maybe it's not romantic and people in this guy's world are just awfully weird about normal bonds.
