[Somehow, it doesn't surprise her that he chose to remain. Isn't it harder to linger, alone with one's thoughts, than to take action? She, in any case, thinks so. But she can't argue, because from a purely practical standpoint, she's lighter on her feet than him, given his injured leg, and she can comfort herself with the knowledge that at least he'll have shelter and water to help him endure the daytime heat.

She, meanwhile, will have to face not only the challenge of finding the way back to the river, but the greater one of procuring one or multiple containers to transport the mud in... she may just have to ask the Ferryman for help.

But she'll cross that bridge when she gets there. For now, she wants to say goodbye to him in as proper a manner as she can - just in case. She doesn't want to imagine him disappearing like G'raha and Katsuki did, but... who's to say, really? Kneeling down, she gently wraps her arms around his shoulders from behind.]
