Trip to the pool(s)

WHO: Kel, Celehar, Frieda, G'raha Tia
WHAT: A group of souls bringing a shards of light around
WHERE: Whispering pools + caracombs
WHEN: Quest Mission
WARNINGS Possible violence, for now? Wraiths for sure, so definitely horror, but beside that I don't really know yet. Warnings will be added as needed.

Kel desperately wanted to do something to keep himself busy.

Somehow, that translated into him, Celehar and G’raha Tia getting a shard to carry to one location of their choice- Did he fully understand what the light coming from the shard was? Absolutely not, yet at the same time Kel was more than eager to help, whatever form that took. He left someone else to carry the precious item, of course, and his focus had been mostly studying the behaviour of the wraiths as they passively left for the entirety of the group's descent.

“I just don’t quite understand…” He admitted at some point “This Ferryman has the power of keeping them at bay, even this shard is, but we’re supposed to move… I think what I forgot to ask them is what, exactly, we’re running from. It’s certainly not this.”

For the rest, the road was mostly uneventful as they moved further down, meeting Frieda during their little journey and reaching the pools. That’s where things turned really sour. Kel bit his lips at the transformation, barely holding his position in front of a row of sharp and fierce teeth, trying to stand between those creatures and his companions. Celehar was already being used as a little shield by Frieda, so… somehow had to pretend this was all okay, right? They weren’t really going to attack as long as the group stood in the safety of the light… right?

Then again, as he stared at the spiked throat of one of the wraiths that were silently screaming at him -something he had only seen in nightmares and from pictures of throats of sea turtles-, he found himself wondering a more important thing.

“So…” His legs were definitely not shaking. He was supposed to be the ‘funny guy’, he couldn’t show the others what effect the wraiths were having on him “- The goal after we leave this here is running out as fast as we can? I don’t… think they’re in the mood to ignore us now…”
